Drug Information Database - Data Maintenance

The DID is updated monthly and all data is fully verified twice a year. Every effort is made to add new products and preparations that come on the market as well as to identify products that are no longer distributed.

Maintenance is performed by professionally trained pharmacists with experience in the field of anti-doping.

Both the UK and Canadian data are version controlled and maintained within each country’s ISO 9001:2000 quality system.

The Canadian data is from Health Canada’s Therapeutic Product Directorate’s Drug Product Database and is restricted to pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medications.

The UK data is from the British National Formulary, Chemist and Druggist and Monthly Index of Medical Specialties.

The DID always refers to the most current version of the WADA Prohibited List.
